v.1.5.2 Release Notes

Overview

This release (v1.5.2) is a small release that includes bug fixes and feedback.

Search bar

There have been some changes to the search bar, to coincide with the release of the client and matter tables. The changes remove the “refine your search” link which would direct the user to the Osprey 1 global search result page, instead replacing it with links to the matter and client tables.

To retain the matter history search where a result is not found, a link has been added allowing the user to perform this search at any time. Otherwise, this search behaves in the same way as it did in Osprey 1.

New icons have been added to the matters returned in the search, with a tooltip, as follows:

  • Current matter
  • Archived matter
  • High risk client
  • Restricted matter

Client and matter tables

Each table will surface pertinent data in a single, convenient location.

The benefits are:

  • Users will find it easier to review their clients and matters
  • Users will benefit from increased visibility and control of their clients and matters
  • It will help users to keep on top of their archiving, which is beneficial from a compliance perspective. This will appeal to senior management / stakeholders / practice managers at firms.

No data is exposed which could not be found elsewhere in Osprey using a standard fee earner access template.

Matter table features

  • Review matters, including columns such as matter reference, client name, matter & workflow status, work type, fee earner, open / archived dates, account control limits and balances. Open and archived matters are shown in the list and can be filtered by their status.
  • additional functions such as:
  • archive/restore a matter
  • edit a matter
  • time entry – open the time tracker panel and preselect the matter
  • create new
  • Document
  • SMS
  • Email
  • Key date
  • Requisitions
  • go to client and matter workspaces

  • whether column is hidden or shown
  • column widths
  • order
  • pinning
  • data order (by default shows matters in order of date created with most recent first)
  • filters applied

The export to CSV function is restricted as follows:

  • Reports – Analysis – Live matters must be ticked against the user’s access template to export the matters CSV
  • Reports – Miscellaneous – Client list must be ticked against the user’s access template to export the clients CSV

Enhancements

  • optimisations to improve the performance of regularly used endpoints
  • users will be prompted to refresh their page where they are not using the latest version of the application
  • include the client’s title in the drawer e.g. Miss Sarah Jones
  • include the client type in the drawer e.g. Individual or Company

Bug fixes

  • Osprey 1 preview rendering issue – fixes an issue where document previews were rendering incorrectly in the matter history. This fix is expected to have a positive impact on the out of memory exception some clients experience which requires an app pool refresh
  • fixes an issue where the UFN did not have to be unique in certain circumstances. It will not be possible to add an existing UFN for one client to a different client. The wizard also respects the UFN Override configuration setting
  • The new matter wizard will now default the value for ‘Prospect’ based on the setting chosen in the Supervisor area
  • account control limits will be set to 0 rather than NULL where not limit is entered by the user
  • if the user clicks edit on the workflow status bar but does not make any changes no new matter history entry will be created
  • fixes an issue where the postcode checker did not return the full address
  • fixes to routing issues
