v1.5.1 Release Notes

Overview
This release (v1.5.1) will be our largest since v1.5 in Nov 2024. It includes a substantial amount of work, particularly related to the new Client and Matter Workspaces and Automated InfoTrack Disbursements, along with many other bug fixes, performance and usability improvements.
This release will impact all companies and users who have migrated to Osprey 1.5
Included in this release
New features
Client and Matter Workspaces, which provide users with:
- a visual overview of each client and matter, with panels to highlight key information for the user
- a panel to encourage users to start and complete workflows
- panels to draw attention to account balances and open invoices
- a feed of upcoming Key Dates and Matter Reviews related to a particular matter
- an overview of the users with access to the client portal
- easy access to key client and matter details, as well as a list of related matters
- links to edit clients and matters
- improved navigation – the workspaces tabs linking to key pages within each entity
- An update to the application header:
- combining the Matter Selector and Search features to consolidate space
- adding a new item to the breadcrumb for child-level pages that don’t exist in the menu
- highlighting the current page more effectively in the breadcrumb
- cosmetic changes to the Time Recording Widget to make it sympathetic with other elements
- removal of the page title block on small screens, addressing a key piece of customer feedback
- A new dashboard panel:
- providing the ability to announce new features
- allows linking through to how-to guides on the support website
Enhancements
- Enhancing the recently developed Automated InfoTrack Disbursements feature, by providing the ability to set a default bank account
- Optimisations to improve search performance:
- requiring the user to press Enter to commit a search, thereby reducing the volume of search traffic
- an improvement to the SQL which will reduce the work being done by the database
- Minor security enhancements
Bug fixes
- Fixes to the Master Action Button actions:
- ensure actions such as Send Email and Send SMS work when clicked a second time
- removing unnecessary navigation events when clicking those buttons
- ensuring the menu closes as expected when clicking away
- A fix for the New Client and New Matter wizards,
- require the user to wait for a client number or matter number to be generated before they can move on
- Fixes to routing issues
- A fix for an edge case in the Upcoming Dates panel which sometimes showed duplicate dates
- Various other bug fixes
