Q3 ’24-25 Release Notes

The first Q3 software update release covers several improvements and a new integration launch.

Key updates are:

  • Perfect Portal integration
  • Workflow updates
  • System improvements

The Q3 updates will only be available in the Osprey Browser. For more information on why the updates aren’t available in the app, please see our sunsetting announcement information here.

Q3 updates and enhancements include:

New Perfect Portal integration

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Perfect Portal integration. This award-winning digital enquiry management and client onboarding platform streamlines the process from initial enquiry to case completion when integrated with Osprey.

Key features of the Perfect Portal integration:

  • Convert prospect clients into active matters
    Allows users to convert a prospect client from Perfect Portal directly into an active matter in Osprey.
  • Duplicate check before client creation
    The integration checks for existing clients in Osprey before creating a new client, preventing duplicates.
  • Automatic population of client and case data
    Ability to map Perfect Portal fields to corresponding Osprey fields
  • Case status updates shared with Perfect Portal
    Osprey workflows share case status updates with Perfect Portal, keeping clients informed.
  • Support for multiple work types
    It supports converting various work types from Perfect Portal to Osprey as listed below.

Workflow updates

  • Description filtering when adding new action types

Description filtering is now available when adding new action types to workflow tasks (ie – Send standard letter, Produce Lexis Document etc).

  • Show action details when adding criteria

Relevant action details are displayed when adding criteria to workflow tasks.

  • Show additional details in the workflow task preview window

Additional key date and task details are now visible in the workflow task preview window.

  • Show additional details in the workflow task overview window when running a workflow

Additional information is displayed in the workflow task overview window during workflow execution.

  • Changes to workflow status bar in matter history record

The workflow status bar now includes the previous value in the matter history record where applicable.

System improvements

  • Interest calculator
    Resolved the issue with incorrect ordering in the interest calculator.
  • Export P/E fees analysis by fee earner to Excel
    Fixed the issue preventing proper export of fees analysis by fee earner to Excel.
  • Audit trail
    Several audit trail enhancements applied, including:
    • Corrected functionality of the currency filter.
    • Added J Type postings.
    • Removed UNPDISB from the audit trail.
